Gunther’s Gourmet Gala(G³) Video Product Reviews

G³ now in it’s 3rd year didn’t really change much this year with the majority of the vendors, but as always Michael Lampros of Gunther’s Gourmet supplies us with a few products to sample and makes us feel extremely welcome. He sets up with spicy products to sample and purchased over 80 lbs of chicken wings and a mother lode of mozzarella sticks. Mark Weiler of Wy’s Wings supplied us with non-stop wings on demand as he toiled over a fryer all day long as well as keeping up with interested customers. We were extremely grateful for his efforts, thanks Mark!

I was joined by the Schobergs- Alex and Lauren, on occasion Marilyn Meagher of HotSauceDaily/Weekly, Nick Lampros (Michael’s Brother and co-owner of Gunther’s Gourmet) and Cosbie who was one of the few true chileheads at the event whom helped us last year. We have several different types of products as you will see, and we used our rating system as always, but some of the sauces were just not meant for wings as we noted in our reviews.

A big thank you to the Lampros Brothers and all the vendors who made us feel like a part of the family. Thanks for the welcome! Please check out the great coverage from Brian & Marilyn Meagher on HotSauceDaily with their awesome picture gallery and you can listen to their podcast by visiting their website.

Thanks to Al, the Schobergs and Brian & Marylin of Hot Sauce Daily for all the good reviews (if any producers sent me a product (Thank you) – I had it on the table for them to review – if they did not get to it at the show – one of them took it with them to review – just stay tuned)

Also a big thank you goes out to all the Vendors that showed up to the Gala. Without them and all their hard work – the Gala is just me drinking by myself and pushing Gunther’s products to no one. It takes everyone to make this a good time and I think we all had a good time.

It means so much to me that everyone in this community pulls together to make these type of events possible.

    Thanks again,

    Mike

Tim – Glad to have you represented at the show – your product got rave reviews – I had a wing with it and loved it (a bit hot for me – I prefer the milder version) but great flavor none the less – If you watched the last video in this post – you will see that I had a table set up with all the products that were sent to me. If I recall correctly – Buddah now has the bottle of Chocolate Lighting you sent and will let you know his thoughts on that item.

I called Tim and told him that I would be bringing the Chocolate Lightning with me to NY and to Peppers at the Beach.
