REVIEW- Scovilla’s Savina Kiss Hot Sauce

This review has been in the making for quite a while. We hit some bumps in the road with one of our reviewers getting an entire box of broken bottles. Stuff like this happens of course, you just hope it doesn’t happen to you. Well, going back to the Fiery Food Show, I was introduced to Heiko Weigelt, the executive director of Scovilla. Scovilla is a hot sauce company from Germany trying to get their product in the US. That isn’t easy, unless of course you have some kind of connection here or you can make an impression.

Well, if first impressions mean anything, their catalog wows you with colorful artwork. You can get a general idea of what I am talking about from the picture above. Visit their website, click on the English flag icon on the top left, and you will see a little more of the creativeness as you navigate through their products. I posted the direct link under the videos.

Anyway, after months of going back and forth, issues with delivery and waiting on the reviews, finally we have the first Scovilla review for you. Just in case you do not know, the Red Savina Pepper was once declared as the hottest pepper in the world before the ghost chile was measured to be hotter not that long ago. So we are starting off with a hot one with the Savina Kiss, but this is tame compared to some others they sent as well. Stay tuned for those.

We have 2 reviewers to do up the review for you. Steve Smith from 2hot2eat.com and Wendy. Let us see what they have to say about this German liquid offering. Ladies first…

I can’t believe no one had any posts about this product or their cool labels. I love the dragon artwork.

I thought their labels were ok – you’ll note that I did mention the pink label and red hair on the kisser chick.
But yeah – WTH?? Nobody looked at these?
