Steve Smith vs CaJohn’s Xecution Station

For the past few years at different shows, CaJohn has brought out a heat test for those chileheads who think they have something to prove. Let us face it folks, the chilehead ego is higher than that of a star athlete. CaJohn’s Fiery Food supplies those that want the extreme burn a place to go in the way of the Xecution Station. Since it is the 10th year at the Houston Hot Sauce show, their design is that of the Roman numeral “X” for 10. Hence the misspelling of the word execution.

Over the years the Xecution station has changed and become something that only gets tougher as time goes on. When it was first introduced at the North Market almost 2 years ago, there was no extract on the row to completion. Now Black Mamba is in the way, albeit it is disguised with the show label, but I know the bottle well enough to know to stay clear of that bad ass extract. Here was the lineup at the show:

1- Cojones
2- Fatalli Fire
3- Jolokia 10
4- Lethal Ingestion
5- Mongoose
6- X Salsa (Salsa Stoopid, I do believe which is a jalapeno salsa with extract).
7- X Hot Sauce (Black Mamba, which again has not been confirmed)

Steve Smith does this challenge for your amusement as Jason Nowland doles out rather large doses of each extreme product. What I did not film was his second attempt just a few minutes later. Something that he was told has never been attempted by anyone before. The guy is nuts! I hope you enjoy the video. You will see another gentleman come into view half way into the video, that is also Jason. Look for him in the trinidad scorpion video coming out in a few days. I think you will enjoy that quite a bit.

I couldn’t imagine running that station at a show like New Mexico. Ed and I couldn’t hand out the Mamba quick enough.

I didn’t know lethal Ingestion had a “secret ingredient” in it that kicked up the heat. *cough*

I thought there was some sort of proprietary method of genetically modifying it in the lab….. same with the Killer Chipotle and Killer Cayenne.

It was quite cool that day. The sweat was all from the sauce.

It did not kick in real good until I got to level four. The lethal ingestion lives up to it’s name.

The real heat did not kick in until a few minutes after my second run. The picture above was taken about ten minutes after take two.
