Chileheads for Chile Hudds

I wanted to support this great cause for a great guy, so I am copying and pasting the thread off of our friends at www.PeppersandMore.com. Here it is…

David “Hudd” Huddleston is a friend and brother to many of us in the online chilehead community. Hudd, his wife Betty and son Danny are some of the nicest, bighearted folks ever to grace this little blue orb; if there was a quintessential, real life example of the phrase “salt of the earth”, it would be the Huddlestons.

Unfortunately, Hudd has run into some hard times financially lately. Because of this, we chileheads are going to take care of our brother by having a set of charity auctions for him.

We’ve gotten more than a dozen of our sauce maker friends to graciously donate nearly 150 bottles of spicy products of all types – hot sauces, wing sauces, BBQ sauces, seasonings and LOTS more.

So what we will do is separate all of the donated products into three auctions of nearly 50 items each and have you, the fiery foods fans, bid on them. It’s a win-win all around; the auction winners will get the creme de la creme of what the hot sauce industry has to offer. Plus they will be contributing to a good cause. 100% of all money collected will go directly to the Huddlestons.

Each auction will run 7 days, one right after the other. Please bid generously. Even if you do not choose to participate in the auctions, you can still help out by spreading the word by letting any hot sauce or fiery foods fan know about these. Here is the first of 3…

I’m happy to see this first auction doing well. Hopefully, there are even more bids before that one ends. Just like Parker, I’m curious about what’s in the auctions coming up.
