Spicy News- April 2011
No, it isn’t our birthday, but that cake was laid out for Firehead Thomas and myself at Gunther Gourmet’s Gala last year.
I guess this is more of a Spring time update of some of the news happening in our chile community. Here I discuss the new chile pepper record, some upcoming shows and the Woodstock for Chileheads is coming back! So sit back, eat some spicy bacon flavored snack food and listen to me babble.

Open Fields is open to all chileheads, but the information is to be privately distributed by Jim Campbell only. If you wish to go or learn further information, please send him a message at:
ji**@wi********.com or through Facebook. Make sure you head your email with “Open Fields”. Jim is busy, so have patience with his response time. If you wish to contribute product for his charity drive at Open Fields, he is more than willing to accept donations for Step Up For Charity. Auctions are run on the Saturday at Open Fields, and people can bid on anything. Award Certificates are also given for different spicy categories with a small entry fee which is also a contribution to Jim’s charity. Information for the event will follow as it gets closer.
Dates: October 6-10, depending on when people decide to arrive and leave. Some people might arrive even earlier. This is a camp out event if you didn’t know all ready, somewhere in Indiana.
Happy Holidays to everyone, no matter what you might celebrate.
not sure if this is spicy news worthy or not but North Market in Columbus Ohio will be having the Grillmasters event over Memorial day weekend.
True enough. Thanks for the add-on Hudd.
Al, Jim’s email is Ji*@wi********.com
And make sure you put Chile Peppers as the subject line. He is very quick with the delete key…
Not what it says on Facebook.
“Open Fields” isn’t good enough?
Quit Harassing Cajohn. ☠
And why are you making fun of the Easter Bunny?
That’s his standard, not mine. If he’s said it once, he’s said it 100 times.
Buddah – thanks for the shout out – I hope this weekend turns out well. If all involved like what we are doing we will do it again. Let see how this goes and we will polish off the rough edges for the next one. BTW – we added “Mr. Patrick Henry’s” as a vendor – they are a drink mix/margarita mix/ bloody mary mix company – So if your nice he may make you a foofoo drink. I am also trying to get a small band to stop by and play. See you this weekend.
