REVIEW: Fiero- Artisan Mexican Sauce

From the good people of Colibri Artisan Mexican Sauces aka Guapo Sauces, comes their newest creation, Fiero. This is a carrot and habanero based hot sauce. This is their spiciest creation to date. For this review we have Firehead Thomas, Xero and myself. We have reviewed their other two new products early this year, Fresco and Bravo. Click on the names to see those reviews as well, and for a good laugh see why we love Guapo so much, CLICK HERE.

It is a very clean sauce. It reminded me of the General Hurtin Sauce that I reviewed a few years ago, but not nearly as vinegary or as hot. I will be having it on my meatloaf tonight.

I literally just had this on a mahi taco!. For me, I had to “use” these to appreciate them. When i first tried them at North Market in February, I wasn’t crazy about them. At Fireheads suggestion, when the fiero came out, I also ordered the three set. They are killer “just have around” condiments. Awesome to doctor up a sammie. I’ll use them on deli stuff often and simple american take out (i.e mozz stix etc.)

Hey All! It’s the good people of Colibri aka Guapo here! We just watched the reviews of Fiero 🙂 We are sooooooo very excited that everyone enjoyed it! WE LOVE FIERO here in our house because it really does go well with almost anything. We really wanted to “showcase” the flavor of the habanero, and not mask it in vinegar- As many people mentioned, it doesn’t have a vinegar taste like some other habanero sauces. We chose to not add garlic or any other spices for this reasone as well. In the Yukantan in Mexico, where habanero is grown, the Mayan people make very simple table sauces with habanero and Fiero is very similar to those sauces. So excited that you all liked it! We certainly do. Thanks so much for the awesome reviews on Fiero!
We totally appreciate all the feedback! Joanne 🙂

Joanne, thanks for the reply. You keep making sauces, and we will have a lot of volunteers to keep reviewing them. :winner:
