REVIEW: Mudflats’ Ragin’ Cajun

This is our 4th review out of 6 for Mudflats’ Bar & Grill, and this is the first one that doesn’t have a fruit or pepper in it’s name. The first was Honey Jalapeno, next was the Apple Habanero, then yesterday’s review was their Mango Chipotle. So now we have a defined American flavor/heritage. It also seemed fitting the day some of us leave, including me, to New Orleans for the NOLA Hot Sauce & Gourmet Show that we would do up a review of this product. We once again bring back our review squad of Wendy the Spice Goddess, The Machine and Chef Jeff. Let us dig for another recipe from their website that seems fitting for the trip to NOLA:

Cajun BBQ Oysters

Pre-heat Oven to 425 Degrees-
1 Baking Sheet

Spread Salt in 1/2″ layer down center of cookie sheet, wide enough for 2 Oysters to sit comfortably.

2 C Buttered Bread Crumbs
1 C Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Shuck Oysters and leave on the half shell (Be Careful not to spill juice from shell) Place on Salt Bed Divide Sauce between Oysters Divide Bacon between Oysters Sprinkle with Bread Crumbs Sprinkle with Cheddar.

Bake 8-12 minutes or until cheese and bread crumbs have browned Remove from baking sheet and place on serving dish. Serve and Enjoy.
