UCCFS: Chicken Wings vs Chicken Salad Round 1
This is the last 1 seed vs 16 seed showdown. So far Pizza easily dunked Fondue, French Fries greased the Green Bean Casserole, and thus far Fried Chicken is drowning the Chicken Noodle Soup with 1 day of voting to go. It goes to show how powerful the number 1 seeds really are. How will this number 1 seed compare?
I wouldn’t think that this match-up would be fair in the Chilehead world, but let me point out that this is a “comfort food” showdown, and is there really comfort in having spicy chicken wings? If your answer is “Hell Yeah!”, then you might be a redneck errr…I mean Chilehead. Let me point out though that this says “chicken wings” and not “Buffalo Wings”. The point is that these chicken wings can be teriyaki style, BBQ, honey mustard, jerk, garlic, etc, and not just Buffalo. Whilst the long shot, chicken salad can be scooped onto a plate of greens, placed in a sammich like the above pictured croissant or perhaps served in a hollowed out cantaloupe with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. It could also be mixed with nuts, seeds, fruits or a family secret addition that would make a cafeteria lady cry. Whatever you decide to imagine your favorite chicken wings or chicken salad you will vote on your favorite comfort food, and let the better chicken dish prevail.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
For me, chicken salad was something I ate once a year and that was good enough for me. But wings….oh yeah…I think they been blessed by Jesus as one of the all-time greatest foods. No-brainer here. 🙂
Wings vs. Chicken Salad? There is no contest. That’s like pitting a Ferrari F1 against a Prius with a dead battery.
I love wings, but in terms of a “comfort food” a nice homemade Chicken salad on rye with some lettuce and tomato is unbeatable!
I would suggest doing what I do. Get the underrated chicken in a can at Costco, add Mayo to your liking, and use hot sauce from a past review. The flavor shines through and your chicken salad becomes an inexpensive, spicy and depending on what hot sauce you use, a tasty meal. I found some hot sauces really shined that way. Uncle Brutha’s red sauce, (No.10 I think) went from a sauce I was lukewarm with to wowed by how it transformed my chicken salad.
Well Johnny thanks for sticking up for the little guy. Chicken salad needs a miracle vs the Chilehead favorite.
Or the great and awesome Baltimore Ravens against the lowly stink-soaked Minnesota Vikings….
Karma is a bitch. Enjoy your season.

Well said, Johnny. Well said. Of course, my chicken salad has jalapenos , serranos, and Wholly Smoking Jolokia in it. Damn, now I am going to have to stop for some good marble rye and lettuce on the way home.
On date night chic salad, at home give me the wings it will be messy!

Great point. Although when my girlfriend and I go out, I opt for the boneless wings. 😉
Scott notice the time Heather posted this. 😉
I do add hot sauce to chicken salad. I must admit it makes it pretty tasty. But it’s still no contest against the mighty wing. 😉
i love both because i am a fat ass!!!!!!
