REVIEW: Hot Lava Jelly & Jam Co.
I first met the Hot Lava Jelly & Jam Company at the Peppers at the Beach event this past year. My first sample was a very fresh tasting one. They wanted to get more feedback so we set this multiple person review with them. Habanero Heat Wave, Strawberry Sizzle, and Mango with Muscle are the 3 jams we got to review from Hot Lava. They also have Peach with a Punch and Habanero Hell if you would like it a little hotter than what the Heat Wave will have. Our review team today consists of Xero, Michael Hansen, and Ryan Graub. Before the review let’s get to know a little about the Hot Lava Jelly & Jam Company first.
About Hot Lava Jelly & Jam
The inspiration for Hot Lava Jelly & Jam Co. comes from sharing with my friends and family my love for great food and a passion for all things hot!
All of my jams are created using the freshest fruits and most intense habanero peppers I can find. No preservatives or artificial ingredients are used.
To insure the quality of every jar, all the jams are made, poured and labeled by hand. There are six sizzling flavors to choose from.
For the serious hot pepper enthusiasts there is Habanero Hell and Heatwave which is a milder version. For an unbeatable experience choose from four delicious fruit flavors. They are Strawberry Sizzle, Passion Fruit Pizazz, Peach with a Punch and Mango with Muscle.
From outdoor grilling to sauces, soups, dips and marinades, Hot Lava Jelly & Jams will enhance all your favorite recipes.

After watching Xero’s video, I was wondering if we all received samples from different batches, I thought there was plenty of strawberry in the S. Sizzle and not too much habanero. I also thought there wasn’t enough mango in the Mango with Muscle. Still wonderful products and I will be ordering soon.
I didnt think there was too much habanero in the strawberry, but mine was warmer than the habanero jelly. The heat did overpower the strawberry flavor though. My mango was just fine. I really like pepper jellys and these were good. Good reviews too everyone.
Update: the sauce I made in the review using the jelly was quite tasty. It was very sweet and sour and went very well on some cream cheese rangoons.
