UCCFS Round 2: Burgers (2) vs Hot Dogs (7)

Two classics of Americana in what might very well be the Backyard BBQ Battle of this Ultimate Chilehead Comfort Food Showdown. I love them both, and I grew up in NY where hot dogs are part of the culture, especially in NYC where most corners have a hot dog stand. If there are any burger stands, I never saw any. Yet, what is thrown on the grill more than burgers? This my chilehead friends is a great matchup, and it is only the second round. Go Vote and let us know why you did it!

This is such a tough one because of the creativity that can be put into both burgers and dogs, but for just a classic comfort food, gotta go with the burger.

By the looks of things, it certainly is. No one ever orders a hot dog over a burger in a non-fast food chain foodie experience. On my fiery food road trip, I had burgers in about 1/2 the days, including 3 meals in a row. Burgers are essentially in my top 3 comfort foods, and I do love hot dogs very much.

I had 1/2 of a Pink’s dog and I was lucky to have gotten down that much. It is no Nathan’s frank.

A tough one here. You can be so creative with either, but when I go to a party or bbq, I always eat a burger first.
