Scheduled for Saturday, April 13
Crabi Gras sponsors downtown Cambridge event featuring music by
The Gypsy Collective, Blackwater, and The Mike Elzey Mayhem Band
Celebrate Eastern Shore culinary delights with slow-smoked buffalo brisket raised right in Dorchester County! Wash it down with a fresh squeezed orange crush, a staple libation of life on the Shore.
Dubbed “The Coolest Festival on the Eastern Shore,” the Orange Crush & Buffalo Brisket Groove Fest on April 13 is set for kick-off at 2-ish in the afternoon, and the party will roll till 9-ish in the evening at Cannery Way park in the 400 block of Race Street.
The event features music, food, libations, and a bottomless supply of the title attractions—Dorchester County buffalo brisket and orange crushes! Hamburgers, hot dogs, oysters, french fries, and other tasty delights will also be on the menu.
The downtown business Crabi Gras, 432 Race Street, is organizing the event. Owner Keith Graffius has announced that local bands The Gypsy Collective, Blackwater, and The Mike Elzey Mayhem Band will be the featured artists. The “Groove Fest” takes its name from the “Groove City” nickname given to Cambridge years ago, when it served a hot bed for famous touring musicians from all over the country.
The Festival is a ticketed event. Admission of $5 at the door helps support the work of a local nonprofit group, Cambridge Main Street. The festival coincides with Second Saturday festivities throughout the downtown area, featuring late shopping hours and free meet-the-artist receptions in galleries.
