Best Spicy Products of 2013- 4th Annual Lenny Awards

2013 Best of the Year Lenny Award

On December 19th, 2010, my father, Leonard “Lenny” Goldenberg passed away from a horrible fight with Cancer. At the time of his death I was to introduce a new award for best new spicy products for 2010. I thought it was fitting that I name the award after my Dad who in life was a very giving person, and in his memory I share these same values. I have 10 Lenny Awards to award, and have some other products that I will also give honorable mention to. The companies listed below the video are not necessary award winners, but they all deserve kudos for what they do. I hope in doing these awards I can shine a spotlight onto these fine spicy product makers. I urge those people out there that want to show some support, to do so and give these companies a little help this holiday season with a purchase. I love this community and I hope I can turn you onto some great products out there. Sorry this video is so long, but you know me, I can’t shut up! Thanks for your time and I wish everyone a very happy holiday season and a prosperous and loving New Year.

Holy Moley – I’m both shocked and honored.

This is the kind of thing that will push me to make better and better products so that I can live up to this award. I’m very grateful Al – it will hold a place of honor in my home.

Al, I want to thank you for the honor of our sauce. You have always been an objective voice for us to bounce ideas off of and many of your comments have gone into the final product. We value your opinion and effort for the spicy food industry. Keep up the good work. See you at North Market.

I want to congratulate all of the winners of this great Lenny Award. Great job, Buddah! You really do your research, compile your notes and present a well thought out overview of the past year’s products. I enjoyed watching… I even made it to the end! LOL.

Seriously, I’m already clicking to buy a few sauces based on your Lenny Awards.

Nice presentation, although I missed seeing each and every bottle, like you did last year. But this video made for a more fluid (and shorter) viewing experience.

Great job and congrats to all the winners and mentions!

Thanks much Brian. I did not have all the bottles, as I have polished off a lot of hot sauce this year, not having to do many reviews. I am still trying to catch up from 2012’s Black Friday sale. I hope you plan on coming to the North Market Show this year. You will love the foodie aspect of the weekend.

That’s good. I am getting by. I wish I was married with little chileheads running along, but such is life at the moment. Isn’t it about time we planned another TN outing with the O.G. Krewe. I just was told that Parker is traveling to the Columbus, OH North Market Festival for the 1st time this year. It is President’s Day Weekend. Hijack DK, make him drive and join in on the fun. It is a very fun weekend.
