REVIEW: CurrySimple Massaman Thai Curry Sauce

We are finally at our last review for CurrySimple and their Thai Curry sauces. We have done the spicy Green and Red, then the Mild Yellow, and now is the Massaman which is their sweet style of Thai curry sauce. The reviews have been solid, and being this product is one of my favorites in the industry and I am proud to be getting the word out to the chilehead community once and for all about them. I have never tried this one nor the Yellow deciding to choose the spicy ones instead, so the review has my interest. I would like to thank Reid from www.snazzygourmet.com for helping set this review up with CurrySimple. I wish they the best in the pursuit for success. Please try them out if you like Thai food. It is easy to make now with these products. To check out the other 2 reviews, including our special guest and author Michael Hultquist aka Mike from Madness who reviewed their entire product line in the first set of reviews. He gave all the CurrySimple sauces a

Veteran’s Day Tribute

Imagine leaving behind the things you love – your love of family, friends and life. Imagine losing your Brothers and Sisters that stood along side you to defend the country you love in foreign lands and at home. Unless you lived it, it is hard to imagine the hardship of being a soldier. Veteran’s Day is more than just tipping our hats to those that wear the uniform. It is a day to recognize those brave men and women that decided it was a nobler deed to give their country something back for their inherited freedom. Some of them have left so much behind in their fight for democracy. Handicapped in more than missing limbs, vision, the ability to function normally, but also mentally damaged in memory and in mind. We should not be so quick to celebrate the day, but the people behind the day.

Helping out those in their time of need post-Sandy

One of our own chilehead brethren has taken a huge wallop from Sandy’s storm. He lost his home, his inventory and more or less his whole town. Ed Bulcholz and his girl Amy Shrewsbury of Born to Hula were displaced out of the apartment they were staying in and been staying with friends who also have been without electricity for more than a week. Who even knows what the NorEaster did in it’s wake since they got electricity back on Tuesday. I know my Mom is without electricity for the 2nd time after it blew on by leaving 4+ inches behind. She is colder than her icebox, and isn’t dealing with this latest storm too well, but lucky though she has her house and car and no damage to report. Ed and Amy haven’t been so lucky.

Weekend of Fire 2012: Pre-Show Diary

Upon my arrival to the hotel after my 8 1/2 hour drive, I suddenly found myself back in the car. Destination was a late night dinner at Terry’s Turf Club in Cincinnati. This was a restaurant Guy Fieri showcased on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and a place Johnny from HBD’s visited last year. So delighted by the gourmet burger he had, Johnny convinced a few of us to take the 45 minute journey to try it out. Flashy with neon lights and olde tyme signage the place had a certain allure that made you curious to eat there.

Getting Shipping Help for your Business

For those that do not know, I work as a clerk for the United States Postal Service. I hear often all the problems companies have in our industry in setting up their online shopping carts with the shipping costs. The USPS has a submit a lead program where it’s employees can submit contact information for a company looking for help in shipping in all areas. It doesn’t cost you anything and the employee doesn’t get anything out of it except for a thank you. So there is nothing in it for me, except the knowledge that I might be helping some of you out save some money and sanity in the process.

9/11 Tribute…Never Forget

A touching tribute makes the reality of what happened hit the hearts of each person who was affected by the senseless tragedy of 9/11/01. I am not going to get on a pulpit and preach, but I don’t understand how a religious interpretation can result in the killing of innocent people. If there is a God out there that would preach this, then why follow down this path? We all have choices, and the people that killed themselves in the name of their deity had one too. This will never make any sense, and we have to mourn and remember, and come to grips with the fact that there are those out there that do not care about our freedom and choices. They only want to show us how evil can win over good. To that I say, go to hell where you belong! Karma is a bitch and she is looking for you.
