Buddah’s Spicy Diet Journey – Week 4

Sean Meets Buddah

Another week gone by. I didn’t talk about my workout this time. I promised I would hit the gym twice this week, and I did. I will do the same this week as well. I hate it, but it must be part of my diet plan. I also tried to hit the bed earlier during the work week, at 9pm, because I am up at 3am. The only problem I am having is that I wake up a few hours earlier. Not sure why I can’t just get at least 6 hours of sleep like the normal person. I am trying though. So if anyone out there tries to call me after 9pm and I do not pick up, you know why. Anywho, here is the weekly video. If you have Plantar Fasciitis like me, you should listen up. I might just have a solution for your shoes.

The video pretty much explains it all. In a nutshell, I am starting a new diet today thanks from inspiration from my little Sister. It all starts somewhere. Hopefully I will inspire others to join me.

Buddah reviews Texas Creek Products – Fluffy Bunny Hot Sauce

Fluffy Bunny Hot Sauce

Ann Simmons of Texas Creek Products started a product at first as just as a gag to see if she could make a pink hot sauce with a fluffy bunny as the theme. Once she started, not only did she create a hot pink hot sauce and get the support of the chilehead brethren with some funds for the project, but she also made it so it would help Jim Campbell’s StepupForCharity.org. I sent Ann a little something something and ILoveItSpicy because a sponsor, and for my efforts she rewarded me with 2 bottles of Fluffy Bunny hot sauce and an extra gift of her Garlic Habanero hot sauce as well. Very kind of her. Thank you so much Ann. Please check out her awesome photos that she posted on TheHotPepper HERE

So I wanted to help support her efforts and to raise money for these bottles which by the way go up for auction on Ebay tomorrow at 1:09 am PST. Most of you east coasters will be passed. I usually wake up for work at 3am EST, but no work tomorrow, so not even yours truly will be awake for these. It’s an auction, so these auctions will go to the highest bidders. Anyway, about me helping…I asked Ann if I should do a quick review, and if I liked it I would be supportive and post my review video. If I did not, I would stay quiet and no one would be the wiser. Well, I am here posting my review which in itself is a good sign. Indeed it is. If you are a lover of garlic and heat, then I have a review for you. Before we get to the review, here is a little about the charity Ann is donating the proceeds to…

REVIEW: Patter Fam Sauces – Pawpaw Chipotle

pawpaw label

Out of the blue comes a package from Pastor Sam Peters and his lovely wife Joyce with 2 bottles of the above sauce. I all ready had me a bottle, so I was curious what I did to deserve such a friendly gesture. Well they were requesting I do a review for them. Well, I am not too fond of 1 person reviews, so I dispatched a bottle to my Leesburg, VA neighbors, the Schobergs. I figure what a better way to turn a 1 person review into 3, right? I was all ready playing with my open bottle so I was well on my way. I was loving dunking chicken with it, but now that it was a review I had to play with it more. With the extra bottle I would have some fun.

2012 Weekend of Fire: Blogger’s Round Table

This is a long video as I chose to run it as 1 video instead of chopping it into multiple videos. Our Round Table was led by Scott Roberts of www.ScottRobertsweb.com, Joe & Linda Levinson of www.TheHotZoneOnline.com, and Marilyn Meagher of www.HotSauceDaily.com. We discuss many issues including the ever-increasing pepper eating challenge videos, the cooking with super hot chile videos, best new products at the Weekend of Fire this year, and a few other topics that bring out real emotion from our bloggers. Whether you agree or disagree with us we should cover a topic you might be passionate about. At least we hope you do. I also spare you from my ugly mug as I am mostly off camera for this video.

Buddah’s Oven Cooked BBQ Ribs Recipe

Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to share with you my new love of cooking BBQ Ribs. Not on the grill, but in the oven. Is it as good as a grill? I think it is as close as you can get. My BBQ grill took a dive off my deck last year, and I have been since without a real grill. I do have a foo-foo grill, but I certainly couldn’t cook a rack of ribs with it. I show off all the BBQ rubs and BBQ sauces I have in my kitchen, and you will be surprised which BBQ sauce I ended up using. In the end, mouth-watering ribs that were saucy, juicy and mmm mmm good!

Sean & Buddah review spicy veggies (Worst Product Review Eva)

It is not everyday I get Sean Boley (the official cartoonist of ILIS) to eat some veggies, let alone a spicy variety, but he was willing so we did ’em. Along the way though there was a misfire, and a huge one at that. I won’t say more on that, you will have to watch to see the worst product I have ever reviewed. Before the huge low came one big high, and that came in the form of spicy pickled beets by Pepper Creek Farms. Their Joycie’s Spicy Beets was a wonderful find.
