REVIEW: Xerarch’s Very Verde Green Sauce

Xerarch's Very Verde Green Sauce

Art “Xero” Weingaertner has been working with me in doing spicy product rules for a lot longer than ILoveItSpicy has existed. We have met a few times at the Fiery Food Show, and I consider him one of my Chilehead brothers. As a review, Xero knew I had one rule in regards to a product maker doing reviews with me, and that if they made it, they wouldn’t be reviewing it. So as a salsa and spice maker, I would never give Xero 1 review associated with these type of products. He knew that if he ever decided to throw his hat into the hot sauce arena, he would be very limited to ILoveItSpicy as a reviewer. Now with this new Very Verde Green Sauce, Xero will no longer be doing many reviews with ILIS from this point forward. While it is sad to limit him to just our snack and spicy BBQ sauce reviews, I am happy that he is living his dream and not looking back. Xerarch’s Nice N Hot Salsa was named Best Salsa in New Mexico by New Mexico Magazine in 2010, and I listed it as one of my favorite salsas of all time. So I have high hopes for Xerarch’s new hot sauce.

REVIEW: Knox’s Gourmet Sauce – Honey Chipotle BBQ Sauce

Knox Gourmet Honey Chipotle BBQ Sauce

We have a BBQ sauce maker trying to get his love of BBQ and mix it with his New Orleans background and bring it to California where he believes there is a calling for a really good BBQ sauce with a little kick. Introducing Michael Knox to our spicy community and to all BBQ lovers out there. Michael wanted us to give him some feedback ILIS style and we aim to please. Our review team consists of the one and only G from VA, New Mexico’s favorite salsa maker, Xero, and our last review with Mike & Jen, the McDermott’s. They will be trying to expand their business this year and need all the free time they can get. We at ILIS appreciate their time and effort and wish them much success in the future with www.ChiliGrower.com and their chile pepper seed company. Before we get to the review, let us learn a little more about Michael Knox.

REVIEW: Nolan’s Hot Sauce – Asian Dragon

This is our 2nd review for Nolan’s Hot Sauce, with the promise for more reviews in the future. You can see our last review for Tropic Phantom by clicking HERE. Please read all about Nolan, a 13 year who created his own hot sauce line. Quite a story. A little about this hot sauce from Nolan, “This sauce has a hot lemony zang flavor and will leave your taste buds wanting more. Asian Dragon has a mixture of authentic oriental ingredients including Thai chiles, lemongrass, ginger and wasabi powder. If you love Asian food you will love this, although it is great on most anything. This sauce has a quicker burn and is addictive to chileheads.”

REVIEW: Tropical Spices – Pacific Burn Hot Sauce

This is our 3rd review for Tropical Spices. The good people behind Tropical Spices wanted us to do 2 of their sauces with a set of 3 reviewers and 1 other sauce with another set of 3. The first one was for their hottest product, Flamin’ Phantom hot sauce which you can see HERE. Next we did their Calypso Sauce which got pretty high marks from 2 of our reviewers and you can see that HERE. Now we have their Pacific Burn hot sauce which uses Thai chiles to capture a sauce made for some Asian cuisine. Our reviewers for this review are Mike & Jen, Derrick Wood & Xero.
