REVIEW by Xero Jr- Hudd’s Fury
Our good chilehead buddy David Huddleston aka Hudd is making a little souvenir of sorts for the Weekend of Fire show to some of his closest buddies. This isn’t his first effort at making something special as he has made others before that were really cool. He has a hidden talent there. That isn’t the only talent he has though. Hudd has been playing around with his own hot sauce for the past year plus. Last year he gave me a bottle of it to get my personal feedback on. I absolutely loved it on pizza. So much that I would say it was my favorite hot sauce I have ever had on pizza. I am a NYer, so I do not usually add any hot sauce to my pizza. There is a sweet tomatoey goodness that blends so well with the pizza it is much like a puzzle piece that suddenly fits into place. I had it on eggs too and a few other things before I finished it off on more pizza.
Flash forward almost a year later, and Hudd has a commercial kitchen now, and producing more bottles to sell at local farmer’s markets. Is this the beginning of a new hot sauce pioneer? Well somewhere along the way a bottle of Hudd’s Fury fell into the refrigerator at the home of Xerarch’s Salsa. Xero’s son AJ found it on the shelf in said fridge and liked it so much he wanted to shout it out to the world. So here he is with his first solo review of Hudd’s Fury.
awwwwww……he’s so cute. My little chilehead.
I was halfway through the video and an error occurred. Yes the label is just experimental. It will still have the mushroom cloud and be called Hudd’s Fury. Tomato Sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, habaneros, sweet onions, garlic, sea salt, ground black pepper are the ingredients. We’ve been selling Betty’s Blue Ribbon Salsa and my Hudd’s Fury for a couple months now at the Farmer’s Market over in Oxford Ohio, home of Miami University. I’ve been selling 8-12 bottles a week and 10-15 jars of salsa. Not quite ready to start selling via internet just yet. Right now it’s just a fun little hobby. I’ve been getting $5.00 per bottle at farmer’s market and I’ve started getting return customers already. Can’t wait till the college kids start rolling back into town. I’m thinking they’ll buy, buy, buy! Thanks for the review and kind words of my sauce and my other little hobby.
