Buddah’s Gourmet Pizza

I put a little twist on french bread pizza that I think you will love. I have to give credit where credit is due, and that Linda Levinson of www.Thehotzoneonline.com inspired this dish. She was brave enough to buy Dave’s Gourmet Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce, and I was not. I do not care for butternut squash, and when she raved about it in her review (CLICK HERE to read it)

Ingredients:
1 loaf of Italian Bread- slice to size
1 jar of Dave’s Gourmet Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce
ricotta cheese- use to liking
Sargento Italian Blend shredded cheese
Tony Legner’s Cat 5 Food Polish- sprinkle as needed

You can substitute anything, but the butternut squash sauce because that is what makes it. You can use any cheese blend, although my favorite is the Sargento, and the same goes for the ricotta, any will do. You can even do this with a different kind of bread, english muffin and/or bagels. Make it your own recipe.

By the way, the pic was taken at my first Fire Mountain Krewe after I won the head to head salsa contest against my Brother from another Mother, Blane. The chef jacket was my reward and everyone signed it. :chef:

I remember that day, all my hopes and dreams where crushed. Jim C. and CaJohn said my sauce was to organic….. From that day on it has been all downhill. :_ride:

Buddah has a great sense of taste and can mix up some very good eats.

    Well deserved win :winner:

Was there a get together this year?

No, too many people made other plans in advance, so we shelved it a year. We had made it permanently for Columbus Day weekend for the extra day off for those people who could use it like myself, but now that Weekend of Fire moving to the 1st weekend of October, we probably need a new weekend. I guess you fell out of the loop when your email changed. TBS was running it this year because we were moving it to western PA. All the traffic of Gatlinburg was finally getting to us last year, so we decided on trying a new area. I hope it doesn’t die away. Good times. :toilet:
