REVIEW- Ass Murdering Hot Sauce

What we have here is not just a funny named sauce, it is a hot sauce that gotten some pretty good reviews just a few years back on just about every chile blog. After falling on some hard times, Bisummo.com is making comeback. Bisummo is pronounced buy-some-mo [mo: slang for more]. As you will see, everyone butchers the name. I know I did when I was first saw the name.

Since no one has done a video review for their products, Christopher “Turk” Ross reached out to me to help him get the word back out on the street that they are far from done making hot sauce. Turk sent me 3 bottles and I passed them along to his review team of Firehead Thomas and Steve Smith from 2hot2eat.com. Up first is their first hot sauce, a mustard-based spicy concoction with a lot of flavor. We will follow that up in the upcoming days with their Chok on Dis Glaze and their hot sauce.

I think you really havbe to enjoy the mid-eastern and Indian types of flavors to dig this sauce.

I think they should sell this as a mustard. I had some on a turkey sandwich and that worked well.

The 3-4 bottles of AMHS I’ve had over the past few years were all used as a mustard. I especially liked it on the CaJohn Jolokia sausage/dogs back in the day.

There is a video missing here sorry about that. I will fix that when I am home. As for hot sauce vs mustard there should be a better distinction. It is a spicy mustard for sure. I have always referred to it as Ass Mustard.

    Thanks for the review guys.

Firehead Thomas: We use the sauce, as HUDD suggested, to marinate on Brats before throwing them on the grill; it bakes on that nice mustardy flavor. We grill our hamburger patties “animal style” and have had good results. Try it in deviled eggs, chili, potato or egg salad to give those dishes a little extra zing.

If you don’t like mustard then you won’t like this sauce no matter what…I think Jonathon Passow doesn’t like mustard either so it’s definitely not everyone’s thing.

The heat is usually described as excruciating :splode: by the mere mortal public but I do agree with you both that, in the Chilihead realm, this is very mild in comparison to most sauces…works for me. :hungry:

Thanks again for the review. :_toastbeer: :_thumbsup:

I keep meaning to make deviled eggs with AMHS and I haven’t done that yet. I know they would be good.

I wonder what happens to your blog when the reply boxes get too small to fit any more…maybe it takes you to a secret area of the site. 😯
