2011 Zestfest Happenings

For those of you like myself who did not take the journey to Zestfest, I am posting this thread. If anyone has anything to share from Texas, I will be happy to post it here. Starting with some pics that Scott Roberts posted up from Zestfest. Here are the links:

Congrats to Vic Clinco, now a 2 time champion. The only man to out-lick me at the 2009 Weekend of Fire Lick-a-Thon. Some people do suck more than me. :lick: Thanks Scott for the video and pics!

Meanwhile at the Golden Chile Awards Dinner, they had a HUGE mishap when they forgot to award Sam and Tina (pictured above) of Zane & Zack’s Best Overall Award with their new Stinger product. They were told the following morning when they got to the show, which was a great way to start of their day. So that gives them 2- 1st place Golden Chiles and a 3rd place as well for their new Stinger and Stinger X hot sauce. Congrats guys. If I ever get the list of winners, I will be happy to post it.

    Nope, exactly the opposite! Read the Facebook post CAREFULLY! We were awarded the Best Overall on Saturday morning and told that they had miscalculated points. 2 Golden Chiles, 1 3rd and Best Overall!!

    TG, you’re East Coast brother, you gotta do yours out of a Poblano! just kidding, kind of. Sam’s concept looks killer, the freeze, the salt, the rack: Awesome. Fill mine up with Tamarind Soda (the virgin kind!)

    I didn’t see the video but if you’re talking about peppers used as shot glasses, somebody had done tequila out of habs at Open Fields. That’s a double pucker right there.

    Yep every year I went to Open Fields we did shots out of peppers, the first year I went it was Fatalii’s & jalapenos, the peppers changed year to year but there were always pepper shots!
