Possum, the other white meat! Along with some Mamou Blackened grits and Oreo cous cous should fill the bill!

Alright, I spoke with Buddah tonight. He once again was speaking without first engaging his brain. He mentioned Black eyed Peas, not black, more brown with a black spot. He mentioned blackend seasoning, less black then the name would imply. He said he wanted the foods to literally be black and white or off white. Good luck!!!

I thought the same things about the black eyed peas, but with the blackened seasoning, as long as you put it on something white, and with the proper technique, it will be black on the finished product, kinda goes with the peppers being powdered and not seen. I was under the impression that as long as the final product was black and white it was OK, if it had Oreo’s in it! lol

Final product should be black and white.

Thanks Butch on clearing up the blackened seasoning. Sorry about the black eyed peas, but I was thinking of Fergie and her mates. :_retarded:

I had the same interpretation, Butch.

Ok, for those of us slower folk (I blame it on the hat … yes, Buddah, I’m losing it … ya bloody critic ;} ), just one point of clarification: To Butch’s point, are we restricted to _only_ purely black and white ingredients? Or do we just have to be able to produce a purely black and white final product?

  • February 24, 2011 at 7:31 pm
    Permalink

Scott, the ingredients should be white or black or meat that will turn white or black. All except for the use of hot spices to make it spicy. The end product should be white. I might have mentioned products that have white or black in their name, but they still have to be that particular color.

I have the video shot, now for the agonizing part (for me), editing it down to 5 minutes. Hopefully the video will be better than the first one I made!

Hey guys, since no one mentioned it, I thought perhaps some of you missed the new sponsorship we have for the contest. If you missed it, read what I wrote before the videos. When you throw in another $250 in prizes, I figure someone would talk that up. Can you hear me now?
