REVIEW: Get Lei’d Pineapple Hot Sauce

Company Profile:

“An avid collector of hot sauce, Nick put in a special request for a unique Hawaiian hot sauce when Erik was vacationing in Maui. Thinking this would be an easy task, Erik ended up searching the island high and low for the ultimate Hawaiian hot sauce for Nick however, his search was fruitless. No tropical, exotic, fruity hot sauce could be found; just plain old red, peppery, somewhat spicy hot sauce that Nick already had a number of in his collection from his travels.

Disappointed, but not defeated, Erik returned to the mainland to tell Nick about his quest. Nick, always the optimist suggested that the guys venture out and create their own tropical hot sauce, thus the inception of Get Lei’d Hot Sauce.

With Nick’s years of expertise in mixology and flavor combinations and Erik’s formal culinary training, the guys of Short and Sweet Sauce Company bring you a sweet and spicy hot sauce with a hint of pineapple that brings a taste of the islands to all of your favorite dishes.”

I wanted to add an extra comment for this sauce – after I posted the review, my wife, Jalapeno Miss, has finished the entire bottle. She loves this sauce. It really is great for fish or shrimp tacos. Enjoy!

Those shrimp tacos made me hungry. Damn you, Mike. 😆

On a serious note, fruity flavors usually favor a chicken or seafood application. But, if it’s a runny sauce, you will get more running off onto your plate and not on your food. That’s real disappointing.

    Good review, guys!!

No. You mean Richmond, right? No there too. I have some videos for Gunther’s Gourmet Gala going up in the next couple of days.
