REVIEW: Dessert Divas’ Rattlesnake Bites
The Dessert Divas had a booth at this past Fiery Food Show in
Albuddahquerque. I was more than dazzled by these awesome spicy brownies. Heat, sweet and texture galore in every bite. The heat is quite deceiving because you do not notice much at all until a minute or so goes by. Then you feel that slight tingle hit you, and it is then you know you just entered into Spicy Nirvana. Well, since I was planning to go to Gunther’s Gourmet Gala, I reached out to the Dessert Divas to send me some of their awesome brownie delicacy to bring with me. They made me a fresh batch, and this video review is the result of the sampling I did at the event.
Dessert Diva History:
In 2005, Tammy DiDio stepped away from a successful career in upper management when her mother & sister became terminally ill. To fill in, she launched her gourmet foods business. Earlier, during college she worked as a gourmet bakery foods designer in her native southern California; Tammy had years of perfecting unique, upscale treats that tasted as good as they looked.
Tammy first developed her own signature line of ‘Sauced’ cakes – distinctive flavors with a European flair, using rich liqueurs & ingredients. Next she added Gourmet Dessert Catering. Her business grew when Gourmet Nuts & Fudge sauces were added. Then, due to popular demand, she expanded to offer Gourmet Gift Baskets & Gift Dessert Service.
A lifelong ‘foodie’, Tammy delights in developing niche products that are ‘outside the box’. Besides California, she has lived & worked in Colorado, Florida & most recently Scottsdale, Arizona. Each area affords her the opportunity to study, research & develop food items specific to that region.
Now based in New Mexico, The Dessert Divas serve Santa Fe & Albuquerque. All items are produced in her bakery kitchen & sold at events, catering or online.

Deliciously decadent!!! :_punk:
Okay Al I watched the video and I am not a dessert person but I want some of their stuff now. And here is the problem Al. If we cannot readily buy a product from someone then why put it up here??? I go to their site and there is nowhere to order!! They mainly do business locally. So now what! I have to contact these busy ladies that do parties, cooking events and classes and try to get them to ship me some product. Nothing pisses me off more then to want a product to eat and I cannot get it or I have to jump through hoops to get it. People like Johnny, Sam, CaJohn and Danny Cash have great products and I can get them. I order from Johnny a few days ago his new Ghost Pepper sauce and it is at my door today! Now here is opposite. I try Chef Dean Martin Sauce and Dakota Mustards at Fiery Foods show. Dean Martin has no site!! But I got his product through an online store thankfully. Dakota Mustard has a site but no ordering. I E mail them and after two months finally get my Mustard. So now I want rattlesnake bites. And it’s your fault Al! You put this video up of a product I cannot readily get. So I don’t care how busy you are it is your responsibility to let the Divas know that they need to make some of their stuff ready to order on the web. If you fail to do this I will come to NOLA and hang your white butt over the alligator swamp pit until some unlucky gator gets a mouthfull. I have spoken.
I hope you know Al I am just giving you a hard time 😉 I will contact the Divas and try to get them to send me some rattlesnake bites :_onfire:
Jim,
I know. You did light a fire under them, and they will respond in due course and working on fixing the internet store as we speak.
PLEASE DON’T FEED AL TO THE GATORS!! (I just HATE it when white butts are involved with swamp pits & large, semi-aquatic carnivorous reptiles.)
The Divas are guilty as charged! ‘Tis true that our online store is still in the developmental stage & is therefore not showing up on our website…yet! I’m told by my Computer Geeks (oh, I mean Gods) that we shouldn’t publish till all is tested & the kinks are worked out. We are now going on 12.5 years (or is that weeks?!?) & they assure me that it’s imminent. No amount of flogging them seems to work; in fact I think they’re beginning to kinda enjoy it… so I totally share your frustration, Jim!
BUT… (and now the Good News) — you can call, text, email or use smoke signals – which work REALLY well here in NM – to contact ME personally, Head Diva Extrodinaire. I will personally handle your order to insure that you get the best possible service afforded to you, a fellow Chilihead!! (Rest assured, Jim — no Junior Divas handling your order!)
Email me & I’ll respond with pics, sizes & prices; I promise faster service /delivery than your 2 month Mustard-fiasco, referenced above.
BTW, one teensy-weensy correction: though we DO cater locally here in NM, we’ve produced our gourmet foods from & currently ship to: Florida, California, Arizona & Colorado. (Local cooking classes & catering are effective ways to introduce ourselves to the peeps of ABQ – since we’ve only about 1 yr. ‘new’ here.)
Thanks for your patience with us & talk soon!
