REVIEW: Pirate Jonny’s Tampa Bay Key Lime Chili Rub

ILoveItSpicy was loaded down with 8 seasonings and rubs from this new company out of Florida. They spread their love to 3 of our reviewers, so you will see different products pop up over the next month from Pirate Jonny’s. Just from watching the majority of reviews so far, if you are a lover of seasonings this company might be for you. Our review team will be Ken Alexander who will review this Key Lime Chili Rub, the Cuban Mojo, and their Caribbean Barrr-B-Q Rub, then we have Fiber Joe with Sweet Island Rub, Jamaican Jerk, and the BBQ-Curry, and then Heynetboy has their Caribbean Cowboy and Scorched Pirate Rubs. Sounds like a lot of flavors going down. Here is a little about Pirate Jonny’s:

Company Background

Pirate Jonny’s Seasoning blends are derived from the geographical maritime region of the Caribbean basin. Utilizing indigenous and historic spices & fruits grown and traded within this region, combined to create a unique product line of BBQ rubs and seasonings.

Pirate Jonny’s is amazing on Ribs, Chicken, fish and vegetables. Our Rubs are a touch of the classic BBQ rubs, combined with the flavors of the Caribbean. Our Seasonings are not like anything you have had before. We don’t use excessive amounts of salt and sugar in our products, its all flavor.

Our blends are rich with the taste of the tropics and the islands. Check out our different rubs and other pirate seasonings. Our seasonings are great for the Smoker, Grill or Oven. Made fresh by true Sailors from Florida who love to cook, eat, and love to BBQ and Grill. We were looking for something that reminded us of our travels to the Caribbean Islands and the great food sampled from all over the tropics. We went looking for the combination of flavors that was just right for Ribs and Chicken and Fish on the smoker and grill, and Veggies too. Perfect after a long day of sailing, when the hunger is raging and the taste buds need stimulating.

Yes, we do enjoy your energy. Just a note, Pirate Jonnys purposely uses the ginger, etc. as a blend to the overall taste & yes, we use the Key Lime liberally on chicken & you can get a nice slightly sweet limey taste for the chicken as well. Use all Pirate Jonnys products liberally, not just a sprinkle. Thanks Ken! Your fellow Loui friend… :_bananadancing:
