REVIEW: Black Swamp Gourmet- Hot Cracker Spice Mix

This past year Black Swamp Gourmet won Best in Show for the Hot Specialty Item at Jungle Jim’s Weekend of Fire 2011 for their Hot Cracker Spice. Quite an honor, and rightfully so. When you try it out you have to think to yourself, why didn’t I make something this good? I am sure you might even be inspired to give it a try, but at just $3.25 a pop, this is a deal and a 1/2 for this party enhancer. Our review squad got a chance to tell you like it is about this spicy packet of joy. We will also be reviewing 2 of Black Swamp Gourmet’s BBQ sauces as well over the next couple of weeks. We have Derrick Wood, RJ and The Machine as our review team for these products.

Company Overview:

We live in Toledo, Ohio. We make Black Swamp Gourmet Barbeque Sauce in Bowling Green Ohio at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation on Middleton Pike just west of Rt.25. We use Ohio companies for our supplies and our ingredients, except Habaneros, but we use local farmers in season for those too!! Our two sons pitch in when they are not in college, after all, this is their legacy!!

It is great to see a Neighbor and fellow AIF producer here, this spice mix looks great and I can’t wait to try it.
Black Swamp is a great company and their Original Hot BBQ. Sauce is outstanding!!

    Congrats on the WOF award.

This is a clever product, and I’m surprised I haven’t seen more products like this come our way. Another quality product from BSG.

I am absolutely in love with this stuff! Seriously, this was a great review to do. There was another thing by them that blew me away. But that is a little later so I won’t blab 🙂
