Tis the Season, for Spicy Events that is!

A little more than a month of events starting with the Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Show August 26th and going all the way through the 1st weekend of October at Jungle Jim’s International Market’s Weekend of Fire Show. If you aren’t attending at least one of these events, then you are surely missing out on some fun and spicy lickin’. So who is going to what?

My plans are presently to attend the Bowers Chile Festival on Sept 7-8, then the following week for the huge Houston Hot Sauce Show on Sept 15-16, then 3 weeks after that for the Weekend of Fire Show on Oct 6-7. There is an outside shot at going to the Open Fields event at the end of September, but my boss is being a hard ass, so I might not be able to swing that as well. It is a lot of events and it will cost a lot of money, so I need a roommate for the Weekend of Fire Show to split the hotel cost, and maybe for the Bowers Chile Festival as well. Johnny? If I know you and you can tolerate my talking, then you might be a good roommate. I have hotel reservations at the Holiday Inn Express in Fairfield (where we stay every year) for Friday-Monday. Leaving Monday morning to head home or if I can convince CaJohn to do another Open House, then to Columbus for a few hours on Columbus Day. I am very much looking forward to each and every event, and I hope I am not totally broke by the end of it.
