TELL ME SOMETHING I DIDN’T KNOW is a segment where I draw your attention to products you do not hear many people talking about, maybe products or companies you might never have heard about before. While CaJohn’s Flavor & Fire isn’t one of those companies, (unless you are a newbie to the spicy world of products), not many people discuss their salsa too much, specifically the Macioces Hot Italian salsa. CaJohn’s products might be better known for hot sauce, but the most award winning spicy product company around has received many accolades with their salsa and BBQ sauce as well. This particular salsa is one of my favorites in the world. As I prepare my chili recipe in the kitchen, the only time a jar or two of this salsa does not go into my chili pot is because I am out of it. I can easily go through a jar of salsa with some tortilla chips, but the enhancement it does for my chili can not be wasted on a mere chip and dip. Also, the next time you buy some pasta sauce from your local mart to make some homemade pizza, look no further chileheads than this salsa and your salvation. It’s Italian flavors go so well as the chunky covering for your pizza dough you will thank me for it. In 3 different heat levels to make everyone happy in your family, Macioces Hot Italian salsa is a standout in the salsa department. You will find so many other uses for it beyond the standard way with a chip. The next time you put in an order for some of your favorite CaJohn hot sauce, think about getting a couple of jars. My award winning “Mary Had a Little Lamb Chili” wouldn’t have won me a prize without it.
