REVIEW: Fri-B-Que
The Birth of Fri-B-Que..
The Land of Enchantment is known for many things; including its scenic landscapes and beautiful sunsets, but from a culinary standpoint, New Mexico is best know for its red and green chili crops. No adventure in New Mexico is complete until you have experienced our cuisine. Unlike any other, it is a mosaic blend of flavors from Spanish and Native American cultures that has been perfected over the course of 400 years.
Perhaps the most essential ingredient for any New Mexico recipe is the famous New Mexican chile, or chili pepper that grows in 2,000 different varieties, and come in both red and green varieties. You can find the chile used in everything from enchiladas to ice cream. And you guessed it, in our signature Fri-B-Que Sauce. We can’t tell you which color, or which variety, but adding to your “Kick to the Throat” everytime is our hometown favorite!
Michael Frison, a New Mexico native, has been making his family’s signature BBQ sauce for more than 10 years. It is a tried and true recipe that honors Michael’s family and culture.
This one is going to be a little different. This man has 3 amazing sauces and our reviewers will give you a taste of each one.
